Provincial Senior Living has assembled a cohesive and highly experienced executive leadership team with nearly 100 years of collective experience in the senior housing industry. Each brings poise, passion and intensity, and together, they will nurture and uphold a culture of innovation, accountability and performance.
Our flat senior management structure is specially designed to prioritize connectivity with the communities and is a foundational aspect of Provincial Senior Living.
Our company and community leaders maintain open-door policies and promote autonomy and the continued pursuit of excellence and innovation. Steve Flynt
PresidentSteve Flynt is the President of Provincial Senior Living. As a 30-year veteran in senior living, Steve has an extensive background in operations leadership by supporting senior living communities across the United States, and is a licensed nursing home administrator in Arizona and Colorado. Steve places attention on building teams and creating a learning environment where the best talent can rise to be productive servant leaders. Creating a culture of care and accountability is always one of his goals.
Steve has served on the boards of directors for the Arizona Assisted Living Association, California Assisted Living Association and Leading Age Colorado. He is a graduate of Oklahoma State University, earning a degree in education and university studies.
Glennis Harris
Division Chief Operating Officer – CentralGlennis Harris is a seasoned operations executive with more than three decades of experience leading large-scale operations in highly regulated, service-driven environments. She recently served as Vice President of Operations, Facilities, and Procurement for Alerislife/Five Star Senior Living, where she drove operational excellence, portfolio performance, and vendor partnerships across the enterprise. Glennis is passionate about the resident experience, team member care, and delivering results through strong cross-functional partnerships.
Holding a degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago, Glennis brings deep understanding of human behavior to operational leadership-aligning systems, teams, and culture to improve outcomes for residents and staff. A Six Sigma Black Belt, she is known for translating strategy into execution through collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Outside of her day-to-day role, Glennis is an advocate for fighting hungry and mentoring the next generation of leaders. Her leadership has earned national recognition across multiple industries.
She is guided by a commitment to aging with dignity-where operational excellence exists in service of compassion, safety, and human connection.
Kena L. Phillips
Senior Vice President | National Brands CentralKena Phillips joins the Provincial Senior Living team as Senior Vice President, Operations for the Central Division. She brings more than two decades of leadership in senior housing and healthcare services to the Provincial team. With a career rooted in both operational excellence and compassionate care, Kena is known for her strategic oversight, development of high-performing teams, and innovative approaches to operations in all areas of the senior living space.
Prior to joining Provincial Senior Living, Kena served as Regional Vice President of Operations with Integral Senior Living, where she provided executive leadership, mentored community directors, and shaped care protocols across multiple communities. Her journey in senior living began after leading a nationally recognized Alzheimer's education initiative through Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and led her down a path of progressive growth with companies including Sunshine Retirement Living and Brookdale Senior Living.
Kena holds a BA in Sociology from Texas Tech University and completed graduate studies in Sociology along with the Licensed Nursing Home Administrator program. She is passionate about empowering teams and enriching the lives of seniors. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as embracing many outdoor activities.
Cristy Ballard
Senior Vice President | National BrandsCristy Ballard, Chief Growth Officer for Solstice Senior Living, joined the team in September 2018. She has passionately served families and their loved ones for the past 20 years on their senior living journey. Cristy has been responsible for sales and marketing operations across a multistate territory, oversight of regional/divisional sales teams, and staff training development and delivery, as well as enhancing companywide signature programs. Her commitment runs deep in teaching and supporting our team members how to execute company standards and exceed our customers’ expectations. Life should be enjoyed at every age! That is why Cristy has dedicated her career to reaching as many families as possible and providing them with the guidance and clarity they need.
Kelly Smith
Vice President of Support ServicesKelly Smith brings more than 25 years of leadership experience in senior living finance and operations to her role as Vice President of Support Services. She has held progressive executive roles overseeing financial reporting, FP&A, operational support, and cross functional performance initiatives across multisite portfolios. Known for building strong partnerships between field operations and corporate teams, Kelly focuses on creating scalable processes, improving visibility through data, and supporting community leaders in driving results. She is passionate about aligning financial strategy with operational excellence to support our communities, residents, associates, and stakeholders. Kelly is a graduate of the University of Arizona earning a degree in Finance.
